Everyone joining MTS is introduced to our safety ethos from day one, as part of our comprehensive bespoke induction programme. Each employee has a personal training schedule, which ensures their qualifications are always up-to-date and they have the knowledge and confidence to keep safety foremost at all times. We aim to embed the highest standards of health and safety awareness in all our staff throughout their career with us.
We know that general wellbeing is key to a positive team attitude and a good work/life balance and we want MTS to be a happy and healthy workplace for everyone.
Our Wellbeing Champions coordinate information and activities designed to promote general wellbeing for all employees. We work closely with our supply chain partners to share best practice and initiatives.
Everyone can keep informed through regular email updates, posters and articles in MTS News as well as free events and initiatives. We offer free drop-in sessions including free health MOTs, help to stop smoking, advice on healthy eating, diabetes prevention and more.
Our staff have access to special offers on leisure activities such as reduced price local gym membership, sporting opportunities and school holiday activities.
MTS support national campaigns and awareness events including Dry January, Stoptober, National Cholesterol Month, Movember and many more.
At MTS we are working to help end mental health discrimination in the workplace and have signed the Time to Change pledge. We have several trained Mental Health First Aiders who can give support and advice to colleagues suffering mental health problems. The Mental Health First Aiders are also able to refer colleagues to a professional counselling service which is part of our occupational health programme.
MTS are proud to hold a Platinum Medway Workplace Wellbeing Award, fantastic local recognition highlighting our position as a responsible business in the community. This award scheme is due to expand across the rest of Kent in 2020.
